The Story of Nekimira 🐾

They say she wasn't born, but found in an old travel bag, under a flickering lantern at the edge of the night markets, where maps lie and compasses dream. The bag smelled of rain on black stone and of something sweet you can never quite catch; when it sprang open, a little catgirl climbed out, with eyes like embers behind glass and hair as if the moon had bleached it and twilight had kissed it with red. An unreadable ticket clung to her cheek: "Only for travelers who do not yet know where to go."

The first scratch mark

Nekimira quickly learned that shadows aren't just dark spots, but places that listen, store, and answer when you whisper instead of shout. With every city she wandered, she left small scratch marks—barely visible, and yet those who smelled of the same longing for distance and midnight found their way along them. Thus began the first round of Shadows: friendly strangers waiting at crossroads, sharing a candle, and trading stories like catnip for courage.

Sweet & dangerous

Her smile is soft, but it has corners; those who underestimate her hear the purr first, then the quiet clicking of claws in wood. Once, she took on a task: to recover a lost memory, gone astray in a game that had grown too alive—and too hungry. Nekimira stepped inside as if into warm water, dove through levels that tasted of nostalgia, and came back holding a small, glittering name-tag: "Cat mommy."

The rule of lanterns

She travels by one simple rule: "Leave a little lantern everywhere, one that shines only from the corner of the eye." Whoever sees it understands that here one is allowed to laugh, even in the dark, and that bravery doesn't need to be loud. Some lanterns burn long, some only for the length of a single stream, but all trace the same circle: warm, flickering, safe enough to dream dangerously.

Where to now

Today she goes where the map pulses and the night sounds inviting, with the gentle cheekiness of a cat who knows full well the world secretly loves her. When footsteps appear beside hers, she simply says: "Come, Shadow, let's build the next darkness so it can hold us." Then the game begins, and every act turns into ink for the story told later by a fire, while claws draw patterns in the ground and the moon slowly nods.
